As he announced himself on Radio 1 earlier today, John Cleese will be performing another extra (and this time absolutely last) show in Brussels. Thanks to the huge success of the previous shows in Ghent, Antwerp and Brussels, the comedy icon has decided to make yet another stop in Bozar on the 5th of May.
It comes as no surprise that the shows are this successful, as it will be the first time he performs a one-man-show in Belgium. Cleese is undoubtedly forever linked to both Fawlty Towers and Monty Python’s Flying Circus, but has even more to show for himself than his contributions to these cultseries. Actor, Emmy-(award)-receiver, writer of many film and tv-scripts, charity worker, speeches across the globe and teaching at Cornell. He has done it all.
John’s best-selling memoir, ‘So, Anyway’, published in 2014, is packed with hilarious anecdotes about his colourful life and career, which spans more than 50 years. Now audiences will have the opportunity to hear these stories and others, up close and personal, from the legend himself. And what’s more: the second half of the show includes a Q&A, where audience members can put their questions to the man behind the legend, live on stage.
Do not miss this last chance to see the founding father of comedy (a)live.
