Emmy Award winner and Grammy Award nominee David Cross is an inventive performer, writer, and producer on stage and screens both big and small. And now he’s coming to Antwerp to make America great again!
Addressing all of David’s achievements is difficult, but recently he has had a lot of success with (co-)creating a number of popular tv-series. The re-invention of “Mr. Show with Bob and David” together with Bob Odenkirk, which Netflix will relaunch this fall, for example. Or the third season of his “Todd Margaret”, in which he also stars as the titular character: an ill-equipped American who finds himself running the London sales office of the energy drink company for which he works. He also starred in “Arrested Development” and “The Ben Stiller Show”.
Even the silver screen has no secrets for Cross: the dark indie film “Hits”, written and directed by the man himself, premiered at Sundance Film Festival and was released in theatres after a successful Kickstarter campaign. Other recent film credits include: “Kill Your Darlings”, alongside Daniel Radcliffe and the dramedy “It’s a Disaster”, opposite Julia Stiles. In older IMDB-entries, you can find his name listed as cast member in “Men in Black (II)”, “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”, “Abel”, “Year One”, “Kung Fu Panda II” and so on.
His ultimate forte is however: comedy. Named one of the 100 Greatest Stand-Up Comedians of all time by Comedy Central, writing for Tenacious D and selling out his previous stand-up tours all across America. And now he’s coming to Europe, to make it great again!
