Superb comedian talking at high speed
I was sitting next to a family at the end of the row and many members of this family did not seem to enjoy Jimmy’s jokes or maybe because they were not able to understand the jokes like many other people in the hall (often including me) because Jimmy was talking too fast for a non EN native audience… If he could only talk a bit slower… That would really increase the reception of his jokes and our pleasure of watching him live on stage.
Jimmy Carr is under appriciated
His jokes are filthy funny and sophisticated, you need major knowledge of English language and British culture and a good IQ! that’s why this great comedian is always underappreciated, some of his hellishly funny jokes hit the stone that night cause majority didn’t get them. A brilliant night.
Déjà vu
Last year I went to see Jimmy in Brussels at the Cirque Royale. Saturday I was excited to watch the master of oneliners perform once more in our little country. Ten minutes into the show I realized he was performing the same material as the year before and even the same heckles!
The audience was different so some of the professionbased comedy was different. The entire your mum is a prostitute routine answer to a heckle was word for word the same as last year.
The increased price for the same material (although brilliantly executed) left me wanting more.
I know you love dicks Jimmy…
…I hope I am not the exception.
As a long time Jimmy Carr fan I enjoy a good heckle put down as much as any other guy. So being on the receiving end was quite an honour.
The thing is Jimmy, I was / we were not even heckling you. You completely misinterpreted a compliment my friend gave you and I repeated. Now I feel bad I didn’t actually do a real heckle.
I guess that would have made having to sit though those lame yo momma jokes less awful. The only thing I find truly insulting about yo momma jokes is the lack of originality. Really mate, you’re better than that. I’ve seen all of your material (live), I know.
So I wished you would’ve used something else on me. Heck, there is enough of material.
I had the chance to chat to Jimmy a couple of years ago in Edinburgh and he is (next to being a superb comedian) a really nice guy. So reading all these comments by other people on how I disrespected the man is really really funny.
So, besides Jimmy being a deaf duck and a couple of stale jokes I had a good time.
Hope to see you soon Jimmy.
Love, Dick
