Animated comedy like only Pablo does.
The show was exhaustingly funny. He started of with riffing on his bald spot for 10 minutes and it had me laughing so hard it hurt. Overall the show brought mostly new stuff (the blues bit) with a few lil old bits here and there. Sometimes I think his animated voice effects would get tired after 3 specials but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Kramer was also a very fitting warm up act. The two work well together. The only thing i liked less was the cartoons cause they brought the pace down and i think they would fit better at the end of the show while we wait for him to get ready to meet everyone!
Exhaustingly funny.
This was a treat. I’ve seen “Bits and Pieces” and “Ouch” atleast a dozen times. Like I said to the man himself, he is exhaustingly funny. My god those opening 10 minutes, i had to gasp for air by the end of it. My face is hurting from laughing today.
Agree that the cartoons didn’t really add to the experience, but I was willing to let it slide just so Pablo could take a break as he was running on all cylinders.
It was really cool and humbling to see him give it all and when a joke fell flat he just went in harder, mad respect for that. Thanks for bringing him over livecomedy.be crew, you are appreciated!
Entertaining evening
I was secretly hoping Steve Kramer would also appear on stage, and I was happily surprised when he did. A bit of a pity they didn’t perform together, as they did on some American tv stations earlier this year (the Arnold Schwarzenegger massaging celebrities for instance). Pablo offered a mix of new material (the blues sketch) and some golden oldies, which was hilarious, but the animated intermezzos slowed down his drive. On a sidenote, I was quartered after the show because of the crappy chairs I had to sit in for an hour and a half. In conclusion, I’m very pleased I finally got to see one of the funniest comedians alive, and I do hope he will come back some day.
